If you live in the Orlando area you may be more used to taking the kids to a theme park or the beach than a museum but you’ve got a lot to explore in this city yet! Set the Home Security Systems and pack up the car – there are tons of great learning facilities to spend a day at with your family here
Orlando Museum of Art – It’s actually a world-class art destination and though it may be better for older kids than younger it’s a great place to get some culture and see some of the greats at work.
Museum of Arts and Sciences – The kids will love this place and you’ll be happy to know it’s an affiliate of the Smithsonian organization, too. This is one of the most interactive museums in town and is great for families.
Ripley’s Believe it or Not! – Okay, so it’s not exactly a museum but you’ll be hard pressed to have more fun with your kids indoors here in Orlando. Spectacles and more, this is one of the best of the Ripley’s family.

Do you need a little break from the wonderful world of Disney? Are you senses in overload? Consder visiting the Orange County Regional History center which is located in the downtown district of Orlando Florida.
This exciting museum houses over 12,000 years of Floridas history on three floors.
There is also rotating visits from other museums throughout the year.
Some of the exhibits that are permanent that explain how the Spanish changed the lives of the Native Americans who resided in Florida.

Now known as the Amway Arena, the TD Waterhouse offers a wide variety of entertainment spanning all types! If you are interested in sports, you are sure to find enjoyable shows there, they feature various bowls including the Capital One Bowl, and other various football related events; it can be a great trip for one, or for a family that loves good old football!

Orlando may be well-known for its theme parks, but there is much more to Orlando than rides and costumed characters. A variety of cultural activities are located throughout Orlando and, best of all, many of them are free.
The CityArts Factory is a collection of 8 art galleries located in downtown Orlando. The galleries feature the work of local and international artists. Admission is free, Tuesday-Saturday.

Orlando, Florida and surrounding cities have unique art galleries that offer those people who enjoy collecting traditional or contemporary art work a chance to purchase on- line through auction houses or may want to visit many of the galleries. There are many of the art galleries which offer a selection of fine art photography, paintings, sculptures, glass art, a number of prints; paintings or visual art are available for interested individuals who may want to purchase a special piece of fine art. The art galleries that have on- line web pages offer art clients or people that may be interested in world class authentic art work an auction calendar, directory of auctioneers, a help and tutorial sight for on-line bidding. A few of the art galleries also provide auction services for charities ‘or organizations throughout the Orlando area. Disney has done a wonderful of showcasing the ten countries that are featured in the foreign land exhibits at Epcot. You may feel like you have actually stepped into these foreign countries when you visit this wonderful display of culture. Each country has shopping, foods and even film clips of the country that they represent. Some even have amusement type rides, and all have hosts and hostesses dressed in traditional clothing.

Bob Carr is a great performance arts theater, located in Orlando, Fl, for any production, or ballet venue to be held at. It offers a great stage size, multiple seating levels which individuals can choose to purchase tickets from, and is in the center of the tourist district, near Downtown, Orlando, offering a wide array of visitors to come to these events.
